According to Dr Hawass, head of Egyptology for Egypt, the pyramids were built by paid workers, not slaves, as evidenced by a recently discovered worker's city. Blocks were cut from a quarry and transported to the site, often by barge down the Nile, then rolled on logs up huge ramps to be put in place. There were no bricks used in the construction of the Great Pyramid. After the huge blocks were placed, the entire step pyramid was surfaced in triangular limestone blocks to give it a smooth finish. Some of these surfacing stones can still be seen in place while most of the rest have been removed for other building projects (usually attributed to being used in building mosques).
Stonehenge developed over several centuries, its earliest incarnations being of wood. Wood was eventually replaced by stone transported over long distances and lifted into place using A-frames.

The pyramids were built by the common people. They used muscle power and brains. They were building what they believed would enable the after-life for the Pharaoh. There are bigger pyramids in Mexico.
The Indian cultures of the Mississippi basin also built huge pyramid like structures that are unbelievable huge. Still it can be seen that they were built up one basket of dirt at a time. The Great Wall of China was built by common people and one brick at a time.
Modern people often underestimate ancient people. Remember, our brains have not grown appreciably in the last 25 thousand years or so.
Just because we don't have the motivation to undertake great projects like they did, we have science to help us, and our projects have sent bits of our civilization into the far solar system. We don't need aliens or magic to help us. We do need motivation and dreams. Hard work will take care of the rest.
;-D Get to work on being the best person you can dream of.

I find it highly offensive that so many people think so little of human ingenuity, intelligence, and will. The pyramids were built by human beings who possessed sufficient understanding of engineering and mathematics, not to mention a substantial work force, to accomplish such a monumental task. The other great megalithic structures of antiquity were likewise built by humans with no assistance from aliens, angels, or mythic Atlantean technology.

None of the above. We are the aliens. The people who inhabited the Earth before we arrived built them, we just took credit for them. Same as Stonehenge. We just didn't let them finish.

Not aliens!
Slaves, lots of slaves, the egyptian version of disposable income. I've seen PBS specials where they re-enacted builing the pyramids and stonehenge with logs. They placed the heavy stones on logs and then they used pulleys to move them into place. Works great! if you have many years and many slaves.

the pyramids were built by sheer numbers and the brawn of slaves and master craftsmen
as for Stonehenge there is no solid evidence as to who built it ,but its design is resembling of the triathlons in labia and strongly points to the trilithians

Actually, air bearings. They built long ramps that worked like hockey-tables and floated the super flat stones up just like hockey pucks.
Where did they get all the air? Man-powered air pumps.
