Let me put it this way. NO
It can be slowed down but we cannot just outright stop. If the govornment told the Us when the military would leave it would jepordize everyone. Think like a terrorist, Hey they are leaving in 13 hours get this this and some RPGs. Everyone takes off within 30 minutes of each other. 4 planes crash. Sound good no.
So why would we stop? It's not like halfway cooking a cake to eat it later. It needs to be finished. You cannot start something and not finish it.
It is never a good idea to go in and shoot off a few then leave. All you do then is piss off everyone because now they will be pissed. If Kerry won we would be screwed.
Who cares how many purple hearts he got. All that means is he spent alot more time then others chillin' in the hospital bed watching TV. If he got involved and everyone was pulled out. What would be of Iraq?
Chaos the whole reason Sadam was the leader was because of prior wars. Do you know it all revolves around one strip of land?
It belongs to Kuwait and since Iraq only had 1 or 2 ports where Kuwait had 3-4. They thought it unfair, they assaulted Kuwait. We fixed it. If we just left at some point someone who would become a new tyrant would be in charge.
Does this make sense?

We should! This war was illegal to start off with! Look at the mess Bush has created! It has not only alienated this country from the international community, but also has _significantly_ increased the risk of terrorism at home and around the world (i.e. the attacks on the London transport system last July that has claimed 52 lives and injured hundreds of others). Soon, the U.S. may experience another al-Qaida attack that is a lot larger than 9-11! This war is the root cause of it! And look at the results of it: over 2,500 soldiers dead and many others wounded with some very seriously! Even the civilians are caught up in the mess as well. Taking a quote from Oliver Hardy to his pal Stan Laurel, "Well, here's another fine mess you've gotten us into!"

At this point in time the war is causing a snowball effect. The longer we fight it the more fuel terrorist have to attack. The more terrorists attack, the longer we will fight the war. At this rate there is no end in sight. Innocent people will continue to be victims.
The problem is that it is a war on terrorism, a hidden intangible enemy. Standard tactics of war are not going to work as you have no idea who you are actually fighting. Should we stop the war probably not, however we should definitely reconsider the manner in which it is being fought.

War is never popular . It is sometimes necessary to bring peace .To "cut and run" and this point in time would be a huge mistake and send the wrong message to the terrorists .

Here's something for you to think about. Where would the U.S. be today had we "Cut and Run" in WWII?
