I THINK YOU SHOULD JUST GO FOR YOUR G/F...
YOU'RE DOING THIS FOR HER SO AT LEAST SHE SEES THAT YOU CARE...AND FOR HER PARENTS JUST DO OR SAY WHAEVER THEY WANT TO SEE AND HEAR....JUST TO SATISFY THEM...AT LEAST ITS ONLY GOING TO BE FOR ONE DAY....SO JUST SUCK IT UP AND GET OVER WITH IT..
YOU'RE DOING THIS FOR YOU'RE G/F NOT HER PARENTS...

If you feel uncomfortable around her family, then I would say don't go. I go through the same thing with my girlfriend, and every time I go to her house, I'm heated the minute I walk out of that door. Don't put yourself in situations where you'll be uncomfortable, your girlfriend should understand your feelings and why you feel that way. Her family would always try to ask why I don't like guys, and what men I'm attracted to, they would always watch me like a hawk, yet I sat in the same seat for almost 2 hours once.

I would just keep to myself if you are feeling uncomfortable. Your girlfriend is excited to have you by her side, and so yes, the right thing to do is to go to the event with her. You might not feel comfy around then, but heck it is just one day. You can make it. Try to relax. They put their pants on in the morning the same way you do. They are probably just a different style.

Suck it up and go. If you really love her, talking to and seeing her family is the price you have to pay. And, if you love her that much, then someday her family might turn into yours. So the best thing to do is to suck it up and be a man for a couple of hours. Not to be mean or anything, though.

Go dude/dudette...It'll only hurt for a second. Remember that the only way you can overcome the issue is to face it. They are likely to loosen up more too, if they see the two of you together in public, enjoying each others company!

Peace

Good luck!
