Our town is having it's fireworks on the 3rd because people have to work the day after the 4th. Isn't that stupid! My husband works out of town, but is off that day and it would be a waste of time and gas to come home that day, so I will most likely not have as good a time if he was there. Probably a picnic at the folks. WOOOO!

This will be my first 4th of July without my ex who is really big on the holiday, so who knows what I will end up doing. As long as I get to blow at least one thing up, the day isn't a total loss.

I am driving to my sister's in Topeka, KS, an 8 1/2 hour trip. Will first go to their Canada Day party on the 1st. My bro-in-law is Canadian. Then probably see movies or something on the 4th and go to a fireworks show.
