It depends on the water temperature when you wash them. If the temperature is 120 degrees F and you use dish soap then yes you will clean out all the residue. If you use a dishwasher then you can be assured that the water will get hot enough. Of course you, or your dishwasher, has to scrub the glasses.

Do what my mother taught me. After you finish with the glass just rinse it out while the milk is still liquid and you won't have any worries.

Not if you rinse the glass with cold water before you wash it.
