BUT PEOPLE HAVE TO REALIZE THAT THE WHITE SOX ARE NOT UN-BEATABLE! IF YOU REMEMBER,THE WHITE SOX WENT 83-79,ONLY 4 GAMES OVER 500 IN 2004,THEN LAST YEAR,THEY WON THE WORLD SERIES.SO IT IS POSSIBLE

The Detriot Tigers are indeed for real, thanks to the best manager in baseball, Jim Leyland. He is a master motivator who can see what each and every player on the 25 man roster needs to succeed.

It is my hope that the Tigers and White Sox will continue to pummel their competition and make the Red Sox and Yankees have to sweat it out for only one playoff spot. That would be SWEET!!!

The Tigers are not as good as they are playing right now but they are not a fluke. They're not better than the white sox that is for sure and is evident by their record against them. They are 1 and 5 against the white sox this year. Furthermore the tigers record against the big three (Yankees, red sox, and white sox) is 2 and 10. Yes they are young and have good pitching but they just beat up on the bad teams that is why their record is so good. They will be in the running for the wild card towards the end of the season and if they make the playoffs they will be out in the first round because they cant beat the good teams.

Yes, I think they are for real....NOT a fluke.

I believe they have the heart and soul to last the entire season.

I keep saying The White Sox will The Central...simply because I think they have a better team.

I think The Tigers could win the wild card.

I'd love to see The Tigers & The White Sox match up in the ALCS.

The difference between The Tigers & The White Sox (imho) is The Tigers are enjoying themselves more and are actually having fun. (not saying The White Sox arent having fun)

The clubhouse is loose, the players are bonding as players, there is a close knit family thing going on there....something that they havent had in ages.

The main reason? JIm Leyland.

They are NO fluke this year.

Regardless of what happens, I am enjoying this SO much.

It is going to be a very fun and exciting summer of baseball!!!

The tigers aren't a fluke.......look at past tigers history....for the person who said that the tigers were 2-10 against the 3 top teams I suggest you go back and look the yankees took the series against us 3-1 bostons 2-1 white sox 2-1 anyone who knows how to add knows that that's 3-10. and if you want to be technical the reocrd is 3-13 you didn't count the three we lost to the sox in the beginning of the season. Furthmore you can't base anything on who has the better record winning everything look at the past hockey season the past basketball season. both detroit teams had the best record than still made play offs but didn't win it all.

I'm gonna say they are for real. It's almost the All Star break and they're still doing it. Most flukes go away by now or at least show signs they aren't for real. I still think they'll be playing for the wild card in the end though. The White Sox will probably take the division. and there is no question whether or not they are for real or not

They appear to be for real, but the question is will their pitching hold up through August and September? The White Sox will be tough to hold off.

Hopefully, both play well throughout, as that means one of the two overbudget, glamour teams is not making the playoffs (hopefully, the Jays can put it together and win the East and knock both the Red Sux and Yankees out of the playoffs).

They are looking for real. The pitching has matured, the hitters are dangerous, they're winning games by huge numbers, but agin they haven't had a slump yet and it's only June. Still can't count out the White Sox in thre Central though.

Is a what the hell kind of year--Detroit, Cinncinnati and the METS with winning records!!!! AND the Braves fighting to stay out of the basement!!!!!

I think they are. But the White Sox wanna win the central too! Who ever said the Reds are too, don't be silly, Cards are just in a slump now, Cards will run away with the central eventually!

Im a Chisox fan, so im not a fan of the tigers, but i hav to say they are 4 real.big time. Kenny Rogers is old but has a lot of experience. he can deal with pressure and is good. pudge is THE best defensive catcher(he has one the most gold gloves at that position) Shleton was hot 4 awhile and Brandon Inge just made a gr8 defensive play on sunday.i didnt evn mention Verlander,Bonderman, and Maroth(who is injured)
