Here is an interesting thought for you. I read an article some time ago about global temperatures in the past.

The narrowed it down to one city and said the following: (example)

Chicago 1834 on July 21 75 degrees F
Chicago 1836 same day 57F
Chicago 1928 same day 92F
Chicago 1992 same day 59F
Chicago 2006 same day 75F

The point the article showed was that the temperature on any day is sparatic. It changes so much or not that much at all often.

Global warming is going on but not at the pace people think it is. It is happening much slower then speculated by the mass population.

Upton Sinclair put it rather succinctly: "It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it."

As far global warming being scientific fact. It sure seems that way. And it's not about record temperatures on a given day, it's about trends and the consequences of small changes.

Let's suppose that global warming isn't happening and we act. What then? Production is slowed some, but maybe we figure out how to lessen pollution and stop giving ourselves cancer and asthma. Most importantly, if everyone agrees to similar limits, no one loses the economic battle and everyone gains in health.

Now let's suppose that global warming is happening and we do nothing. Catastrophe on that level is a risk I personally am not willing to take, even if the worst of it occurs after I die.

Bush does not believe it because Rush Limbaugh says it is not happening.

I think most people do not have a problem with the earth warming.... but have a problem with the claim that hundreds of millions of cars and factories and industry spewing out CO2 is the cause.

Global warming is not a fact it is a theory. Most of the junk science that is used to support this theory has been debunked. But since Al Gore has decided to make it a political issue he has been able to brainwash the sheep into bleating after him.

for every tin-foil scientific study that you are relying your stupid belief on, I can give you 10 that proves that there is no global warming going on that is not just part of cycles. There were high temperatures before the industrial revolution, so what caused those?

And I love how you want the US to bankrupt itself with Kyoto, but the biggest poluters are excempt. Nice f-ing logic there Einstein.

If he took action about Global Warming, (a plan is in place), at least 3 million people will lose their job.

Bush doesn't believe many things that are a fact. He is stubborn and the man can never admit a mistake. To change his mind would be to admit a mistake, so we can forget about that. It will never happen, he is too arrogant!

Haha it's what repukes do when they don't like something that science has evidence supporting it. They bring out other "scientists" who will say things like "its just a hot period right now...part of the earths normal cycle"

Or....."the jury is still out on the whole evolution thing...." Please.
It's time to grow up, realize that people smarter then you are not lying to you, and do something about the mess our world is in.
