In all truthfulness. It takes two to make it or break it. You can't blame the other without looking at yourself as well to see where you have went wrong. sometimes that doesn't happen till the relationship is done and over. At least you can look at it as a learning experience. At least you will be better prepared in a new relationship when that time comes. To know how to handle things. Not talking to each other is the main problem in most cases

I usually find a friend that I can just spill it all to, (usually the same person). I tell her everything and she normally has some really good advice. But I don't think its the advice that helps so much as just being able to tell someone and knowing that someone is sharing my pain, helping me bear my load. And it always helps to have such a loving husband that will listen and just let me sit next to him and not expect anything from me. Or sometimes just to get alone and clear my head for me sometimes a good cry does the trick. I know men don't cry! :) Well thats what I do. Don't know if it will help you. Hope it does.

When life hands me lemons....I ask for the tequila and salt!! Seriously, I try to remember how much better I have it than most of the people in this world. I have a loving family,a great job, and all of my needs are taken care of. Things are not always easy and I accept that. I always try to remember just how blessed I really am :0)

LOL..I don't know about making lemonade but there allot more forward motion with that than having a fit. Standing around fussing & pulling ones hair is useless. Do the best you can with what ya' got(Lemonade)..soon something better happens & you are on the upswing again.
Yes I am a "mature" lady of 55.

You're very sweet. But women can mess things up for men big time!!! But i am one of those people who cant be upset for long and i hate when other people are upset. I just make lemonade when life gives me lemons. P.S. You (and most other men) shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Like i said women can mess up mens lives too. :) Besides life is too short to be upset and besides that fact where is it going to get you nowhere. If your not happy change it!

What a sweetie! I wouldn't say men have "messed things up" all by themselves, and I know a lot of women who have struggled from their own mistakes. But I think the reason most women seem to deal with relationship/job/family issues is because of our willingness and ability to adapt. When things go wrong for my husband, he tends to go "sideways" (that's his word, not mine) and, to use your analogy, SMASH the lemons to bits! Well, that leaves you with nothing, doesn't it? I think most women would rather have something than nothing, so we're pretty willing to adapt to the situation and make the best of it... hence, the lemonade! ;-)

The only thing you can do is go on. Crying about everything that has happened to you is a waste of time. Time that should be spent making yourself better. I believe that everything in this life happens for a reason so if things are not all peachy right now then you should learn a lesson in that.

lemons in the family......ugh...mother in law.....i try to never talk to her but not keep her from seeing the kids
my mother...we fight but get along most times
our children....I don't know yet, they are still little, but they are pretty good little munchkins, i can tell you that!

I have always in the past made the lemonade but I'm getting a tad frustrated lately with a lot of stuff. Don't know how strong I'm going to be through the end of all the crap that's happening to me/us right now this time.

You do the best you know how to do!
Your right, you know when I was a young woman I'd scream, cry, or plot to get even and with a little maturity I learned to "kill them with kindness" chances are they'll come back "needing" me long before I "need" them.
Years ago I wouldn't stand up for myself at all, now I'm the first one that will send my undercooked steak back.....I only hope that the chefs not back there rubbing his **** on it.....LOL
Good question! :-)
