howcome bestfriends end up together most of the time?

i have heard about alot of people ending up with their best friends. sometimes they even end up marrying each other. but why do they end up together? it happened to me as well.

because they already know what to expect and how to treat each other and that;s makes a better relationship

it does happen sometimes cos the two of u have been friends for a long time and u know each other's likes and dislikes.
