You can not change someone else's behavior because the person have a mind of their own. Maybe you are the one who need to change. Because if you change that person's behavior and it back fire on you then what. What if the person's behavior change and your behavior change or you don't like the change.
Then what??/

Are you a therapist? It's really hard to change someone. You are morally and socially obligated to change your children's behavior. If you are trying to change an equal who does not want their behavior changed then you can't! However if they are game for the change you just need to lovingly point out when they are not doing the desired behavior, and reward them when they do.
More context to you question would have been helpful.

You can tell them about it.
However, I believe changes in behavior has to come from within. That person that you want to change has to change within himself/herself or really want to change for his/her own reason not because of your reason... otherwise the change maybe temporary.

you can't. Unless they're very very very young, you can't tell a person how to change or what to change their current behavior to.

It's really hard but the torture tactics seem to have the best results.
Other wise the person would have to be willing to change themselves, you can't do it.

Your HUSBAND? Boyfriend?? I presume? DON'T EVEN TRY it!! They want to feel like a man. And you have to allow for that, because otherwise, it destroys their will of mere BEING
