I would not recommend refilled cartridges because they are unreliable and sometimes may damage your printer but they sometimes work fine!

I've had luck with these.

But still don't recommend

Refilling cartridges does not void your warranty. It is a popular misconception started by the printer companies, but it just isn't true. Printer companies mostly imply this and let people assume the rest, because it would be illegal of them to flat out say that you can only use their products. There is specific legislation that addresses this issue and says that a company cannot force you to use their products.

You can read more about that here:

Some people have bad experiences with refill kits they bought at a store once, and then after that they assume all refilling is bad and they go around telling everyone to avoid it. The refill kits that most people have problems with are "universal" refill kits. These don't work because A) every manufacturer uses a different kind of ink and B) there are multiple types of cartridges that are all refilled in their own way.

So to be fair, there are poor quality refill kits out there that could easily led someone to believe that refilling just stinks in general. If you get a good kit made for your specific cartridge, your opinion will change. Even though it might take you a few minutes, it is well worth it once you try it and it will definitely save you the most money. If you refill, your cost per cartridge goes down to like $4 or $5.

refills can be very problematic. Sometimes they work fine, other times they will work for awhile but stop 2/3 empty (so what are you saving?) plus using refilled ink voids your warrenty. If it is an old printer and you are just printing junk so you don't care - go for it. If you only have the one printer, it pays to buy new.
