If it doesn't pass soon, have your husband go back to the doctor, i had the same problem 3 years ago, and they had to insert a stint in my p----, and that did help break up the stone.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

depends..first it takes a few weeks for it to travel from the kidney to the bladder and a few more weeks to actually pass out the stones...just getting him to drink as much water as possible to help flush it out....

It may not pass on its own. If he is still in pain I would call your doctor back. Maybe they can use sound waves to break it up or a drug.
