You can make them less noticible by applying cocoa butter to them. You can usually pick up some at your local drugstore.

You're supposed to start using the creams before the marks appear to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. I have them and I hate them, mine are from my pregnancy and I, along with everyone else that's answered your Q. have tried Palmer's Cocoa Butter and its alright but not fabulous.(you have to live by it). Another reccomendation I have is Vitamin E oil, it's great for your skin no matter what, now, unfortunately it too is not a miracle cure, but it will help fade them just like the cocoa butter (I think the Vitamin E oil is better though. Also I know when I tan or lay out in the sun, it also helps make them not-so visible. I would also tell you about the other types of creams that are sold in maternity stores n stuff but everything there is high dollar and over-rated,your paying for a special name but the same quality you can basically get at any walmart or walgreens or k-mart or target.
GOOD LUCK I hope i could help!!!

Get rid of Stretch Marks?

There are no proven ways to get rid of stretch marks. Things like cocoa butter, vitamin E, or various types of creams will help fade and smooth them. Sun can help, but also tanning. There is also a product commonly used for tanning that helps enhance the chemical in your body that produces skin pigment. (helps you tan more quickly) this will even out your skin tone, causing the stretch marks fade. Fading is the only thing you'll be able to do, and tanning helps them fade more quickly.

They are not all permanent...but they don't just go away easily. There are creams made especially for stretch marks ( I forget the names but they show them on TV all the time) or you can use coco butter lotion. They are all products for tightening the skin. There's also a body wash called Tone that has coco butter in it that works really well. Other than that some good exercise would help.

nothing can actually get rid of stretch marks. keeping skin well moisturized evens skin-tone and will minimize the look of stretchmarks. most anti-stretch mark products are basically just moisturizers. mineral oil is excellent at moisturizing when used right after you shower because it really seals in water. because mineral oil does not contain any water it will not add moisture to your skin, just retain it, so the rest of the time you should use a good lotion or cream. i want to add that many people are afraid of mineral oil because there are several myths out there causing people to think it clogs pores or that it is dangerous because it is not natural. this is not true. just like any ingredient, some people may find that they are irritated by mineral oil but it is perfectly safe and beneficial to most people (the product is used for babies, the FDA would not allow it to be sold if it was unsafe even for sensitive skin). if this is the case there are many other oils that are also effective, though not as inexpensive. furthermore oil does not clog pores, this a myth. dirt and dead skin cells are what causes clogged pores not oil.

They are permanent. Things like Mederma or cocoa butter can help a little, but nothing fully gets rid of them.

i don't think there is actually a way to remove them completely but a good way to reduce them is using any kind of lotion with cocca butter. most doctors will give you the same advice when it comes to stretch marks caused by pregancy.
