Probably not, but it seems like he's getting the same "dark horse" hype.

Yo, Darko is amazing he will own everyone next season. Him and Howard will dominate. They couldn't do it this season cause the Magic screwed up in the beginning of the season but Milicic isn't a bad player at all. The only reason ppl think that is because he never started a game in Detroit, however he was behind Big Ben in the lineup and they chose Ben cause he has more experience in the league. The only reason Darko didn't start this year was because the coach for the Magic wanted to let T. Battie finish the season for his perfect attendance. But Batties getting old so Darko will start next year. And I don't think that the same thing wil happen to Bargnani because every team in the top ten (except for the Rockets) needs a big man.

No, Andrea Bargnani won't be the next Darko Milicic. From what I'm hearing, a lot of scouts think he's a poor man's Dirk or Pau Gasol. He might not ever have numbers like Dirk but maybe he can be a Detlef Schrempf. Remember him? Detlef used to play for the Sonics. He averaged like 12 points and 5 boards I think in his career. So, Andrea might not be a huge star in the league at first, but he can be a double digit scorer and can shoot the 3 like Dirk. Darko is just a post up player and he's a stiff. They say Andrea can move like a guard out there so I think he can be productive in the NBA.

i doubt it...first off, darko could become a good player. he showed some ability last year after he got traded. bargnani pretty much led his team to the championship. so he can obviously play. i don't remember exactly but i think darko didn't play much in europe....

anyways, bargnani seems much more polished. obviously he is very skinny so strength will be an issue. but he should get playing time immediately since i don't see him going into a situation like darko was in detroit.

I don't he will be. I don't think he's the number one pick either. From what I've seen and read he should be at least a solid player. And Darko is still very young, in 3 years if he still sucks then I'd label him a bust.
