Depends on the BC. I took a pill and gained about 10 lbs. I switched to the IUD and it has no side effects like that.

For almost all birth control methods their might be some weight fluctuation. It is usually between 2-3 pounds and that can be weight gain or weight loss. Because of the change in hormones you may have a change in appetite. So just make sure you eat and exercise as you normally would and you should be fine. The only birth control method that has shown weight gain is the Depo shot, 5-10 pounds.

I gained 12lbs when I went on it,it makes you want to eat all the time.I was only on it for like a week and a half(I was going to the beach and I did not want to start my period),I was so upset to have gained that much,I was a size 3 and I went up to a 7,Now I am a size 5 I still have a little more to lose.

Depends on the birth control. Most birth controls really increase your appetite, so that's where the weight gain comes in. Just be careful of what you eat and exercise and you will be fine.

Everyone's body is different, i gained 60 pounds on the depo shot switched to the pills and only lost 20 of those pounds. Good luck i think it depends on your body and the type u choose to take!!!

yes u gain wait. i have been on them for maybe 7 months now and i was like 96 pounds and now i am like 110. i have gained a lot of wait. so yes you gain wait. so if ur thinkin bout gettin on it. watch what u eat

when i'm on the pill, i gain weight. When i'm on the shot, i loose weight. Everyones body is different!

i was on DEPO for 5 yrs and i never gained any weight.

Mostly the weight gain is just additional water weight. If you are sexually active please do the responsible thing.
