I'm trying to get an idea of how to get into teaching college without the obvious Ph.D. I plan on going for Ph.D., but not at this time. I'm wondering if I should just start by teaching children and then move on to college when I go back to Ph.D?

I just finished my MA, have taught at a TA, have a position at a community college right now, and will be starting my PhD in the fall. I suggest that, if you want to teach at a college/university, to start with a BA in your field (don't worry about getting a teaching certification if you don't want to teach pre-college). Then start working on your MA/MS. Community colleges and junior colleges, as well as some small universities/colleges, do hire MA students. You can go right on to your PhD and hopefully get an assistantship so you start teaching when you begin your MA/MS, but taking some time off is an option too.

Good luck

IMO, practise severe college is a lot extra troublesome for distinct motives. a million) students frequently "favor" to be there because it prices money and they comprehend the fee of an practise. 2) severe students ought to pass to college or concern failing, being said as out for truancy, etc. 3) I heavily doubt severe college instructors make extra money. 4) college surroundings is extra efficient, extra comfortable, and commonly extra respectful for human beings's beliefs and reviews. 5) severe students have a tendency to have the theory that they are smarter than the instructor and would outwit them.
