Yes; probably because it feels nice to have someone to talk to, someone like a 'friend'. Don't worry, enjoy! :)

Well... words and conversation is almost like mental fore play to some degree.
When someone is sitting behind the anonymity of a keyboard, they can say and be anyone and anything they want to be.
Yes, it is possible for someone to have a crush on a person they have only "chatted" with. Obviously, the person you are talking to is saying the things you want to hear.
I will give you a few words of caution.
First off, you never know if you are getting the truth. People can "say" / type whatever they want. Who and what they are in "real life" is often very different than the impression they give you on-line.
Second off, be very careful if you decide to meet this person face-to-face. Again, behind the keyboard, they can say what they want. Reality is often very different.
Third off, don't spend all your time chatting on-line. Get out there and meet people. Having face time with others is a great way to find a real person and develop a relationships. Who knows what might happen.
Last, and most important... don't "fall in love" with the cyber person. Don't compare the people you meet in real life to an on-line chat.
Enjoy your life...... both on-line and outside!!

Yes it's possible. People like one another for various reasons, obviously you are a personality person because someone's written words can strike you so well.
Think about it like pen pals - you can become intimate with someone when you notice that you like the way they think and you like their words and expressions. Women who write to prisoners or correspond with over-the-seas pen pals experience that feeling you describe all the time.
I used to have fiction I would write and post online at a fiction review site. There was one man that would always read and comment on every chapter of every story I wrote, and I really admired him and I also looked forwards to what he said. Some people say that the brain is the most powerful sex organ and I am sure it is...

Your situation is one that I too can relate with. I don't really know how to answer your question because I need it answered for myself.
I hope that your situation is similar to mine in the since that even if you never meet your "cyber crush" this is a positive experience your having and its natural to enjoy different people, and making new friends. I find myself having to hold back some emotions at times, because of my current personal situation. I'm wondering what others have done in these types of situations.
lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best (whatever that may be)

Of course. I have a cyber crush myself. When I don't get to chat with him, I get a little sad. The difference is, I can meet him. He only lives an hour away from me. Just use your common sense and be careful.

Yea of course it is possible, But also remember that you don't know that person very much, You like him for who you think he is, so if you change their picture in your head then you maybe won't like that person as much.
I know people who met online and got married and I've had very close internet friends for about 4 or 5 years.
Just again, make sure you don't take it seriously till you're sure about whose on the other end :-)

You basically have a crush on the person's personality. Nothing wrong with enjoy talking to someone because thats basically what it is. You however decide the limit for yourself.

Because you are making this mental image of the person as you wish them to be. This fantasy can come true but also be disappointing, eg the person can be a gross overweight old guy instead of "tall dark and handsome".

Yeah, of course. Perhaps the mystery lies in the fact you may never meet that person.
A good friend met is better than a lost one.
