Gastric what?
Gastric Ulcer? If Ulcer causes back pain, it is about to tear stomach and burn your pancrease -serious stuff!

Ifit is gastric bypass -more likely the reason you had the bypass -obesity is causing back pain may be your back muscles got weaker now that you cant't eat well. May be you are getting less calcium and have stress fracture of spine - but all that is just guess work.

I don't think the gastric pain is related to your back pain, unless of course your gastric pains are so bad, it's causing you to be bent over.

You should take something to relieve the gastric pains, like Mylanta or Lomotil. For the back pain, start with Panadol and get someone to give you a back rub.

If the pain persists, please go see a doctor.
