I had the same problem and answered this question for someone else. I planted my lucky bamboo in potting soil, in self draining pots. It turned greener than ever and grows at the same rate as before. I just hope your bamboo isn't too far gone. I had one piece turn completely yellow and rot. we cut the one leaf branch off that one piece and put it in water and it is growing roots right now. Make sure to keep it in bright indirect light. I hope this will help.

Mine started turning yellow after a while. I hate to say it but you'd best throw it out now. I tried to help mine after they turned yellow and they started growing a white fuzz on them. It was pretty nasty. One of my relatives who grows lucky bamboo says she has luck by replacing the water every day. Also, make sure you aren't keeping the lamp on all the time. 14 hours is about as much as a plant needs as it gives about the same amount of light as a plant would get when outside. If you leave it on all the time, your plant will get too tired from the constant photosynthesis. Unfortunately, I still think it's a bit too late for your plant. If you do all this and it doesn't improve within a week or two, throw it out.

I have some, mine grows really well. I just keep it in water and change it once a month. No light but it is on a table by the radiator. Think you may be over caring for it. Hope you can bring it back to life. Someone told me that if bamboo grows well it is good for your luck in money or when it has a growth spurt you will com into money. xx

I hate to tell you but it is really a draceana. Is there chlorine in your water? let water stand in open container for 24 hrs before watering, and move it a little closer to light source. unfortunatly once yellow I dont think it will get green again.

I don't think they need much light and they need to be kept moist all the time.
