It all depends upon what you interpret as 'The meaning of life'

If for 'meaning' you mean 'reason' then the answer is quite simple.

It is beyond an elephant's intelligence and ability to write a classical symphony.

Similarly man is not sufficiently mentally advanced to comprehend why the universe or we should exist at all.

Man may make some progress in many things but given the explosion in world population man is already on a self-destruct path to extinction.

Nature however, has many means of limiting population growth. This is already evident in the famines and internecine warfare in Africa.

The meaning of life is to accomplish all the things u want to do to ur family, friends and society. Even if u think u have nothing in this world then help others in need, this might help u understand the true purpose of u being here in this world

And always think postively and anthing happening here has a very good reason.

Is to be remembered for your good deeds, job, actions etc mostly just to be remembered, Im making a trillogy of books and will be remembered as long as it exists.
A long time in other words at least one persons life time around 100 years or less.

Because whats the point of coming all the way to earth, born when no one knows you or forgets you when you eventually died take that Christmas Charol.

Mr Scrooge was sellfish, greedy all his life and no one would miss him if he died but since he gave away his money to bring joy he would always be remembered.

1) people are not wearing enough hats.

2) matter is energy; in the Universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this soul does not exist *ab inito*, as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.
