For my friends Sean, Kim, Missa and me it was : After watching Anastasia at 2AM, Do NOT proceed to make goulash! Invariably there will be a drug raid on the house in the back and you'll be a bit nervous from all the screaming.....Makes you lose your appetite....The officers enjoyed the goulash...I am so glad I MOVED!

never take Nyquil and Dayquil together with Benadril. Talking cats might be funny, but when they start changing colors, you need to see a doctor.

That conventional people are rather strange.

During a couple years of great financial stress, I got my lunch at a soup kitchen to keep myself going. The folks there had all sorts of different 'issues,' including mental illness and homelessness. They were really terrific and it was a great community.

One Saturday, at the weekend soup kitchen in a church basement, the church bazaar was going on in one half and the soup kitchen lunch in the other half. The church folk were all dressed nicely in their autumnal cardigans and behaving just so. On our side, we had a bit of a carnival, with people wearing clothes the wrong way and talking out of turn about unusual topics and whatever else was going on that day. In that context, the similarity of the church people seemed alien and a bit weird.

I've always thought of the soup kitchen crowd as a 'different sort of normal.' What's strange about it, I suppose, is that most people haven't had that sort of experience. Those who have understand what I'm saying.

When at a Japanese Izakaya (pub/restaurant) in Japan, under no circumstances expect the more interesting dishes to be made from things normally considered edible in North America. (deep fried chicken cartilage, boiled jellyfish in lemon juice, sea slug in vinegar and soya sauce, etc.)

But funny thing is, it kinda grows on ya after a few trys! lol

that poor people have the biggest heart.
there's this food shortage in an african country and UN officials along with their cameraman gave food for the starving people. the poor starving people lined up and they get their food.
1 man carried a loaf of bread for their family of four headed to their village and was followed by the cameraman unnoticed. this man along with his family has been starving for 1week, the man broke the bread in half and still gave it to his neighbor who was starving for 2weeks. this broke the camermans heart and wept coz the man could just keep the entire loaf which was not even enough for his family instead he still have the compassion to share what was his.

Uprooted chicken necks hanging from a crabbing pier are a trifle unpleasant when slathered across your body, but undeniably hysterical to sadistic onlookers.
