Even if you are the owner, you should get a short break every 4 hours. If you don't contact your labor department.

There are other burger bars. If you are the owner, hire some help. You should not do everything yourself.

Going too long without a break can get you dehydrated and sick.

If you are a part-time worker like only scheduled for 4 hours, get lunch or dinner before or after the time. But even then you should take at least 10 minutes for yourself.

I thought the law was that you are to have a 15 minute break for every 4 hours of work and a 30 minute dinner or lunch break after 8 hours of work.

no it is not allowed. I should know my grandma and grandpa own a restaurant in New Mexico and they make sure all of the employees get a 15 min. break, during the day. It is slave labor if you don't get a break. Also check the labor laws for your state, that should help some.

Depends how long you are working for. There are rules called 'working time regulations' to prevent you working for too long without a break/holiday.

See link to website.
