A graphics card is a physical device inside your computer. There are many different types of graphics cards, but they can be stratified into 3 basic types (PCI, AGP, PCI-E) from two different vendors (ATI & Nvidia). If you know what you are trying to do and you know what kind of computer you have, I'm sure people would be willing to help you find one that works with your computer and can meet your needs.

A Graphics Processing Unit or GPU (also occasionally called Visual Processing Unit or VPU) is a dedicated graphics rendering device for a personal computer or game console. Modern GPUs are very efficient at manipulating and displaying computer graphics, and their highly-parallel structure makes them more effective than typical CPUs for a range of complex algorithms.
A GPU implements a number of graphics primitive operations in a way that makes running them much faster than drawing directly to the screen with the host CPU. The most common operations for early 2D computer graphics include the BitBLT operation (combine two bitmap patterns using a RasterOp), usually in special hardware called a "blitter", and operations for drawing rectangles, triangles, circles and arcs. Modern GPUs also have support for 3D computer graphics, and typically include digital video-related functions as well. want image got to http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/44/6600GT_GPU.jpg. buy u have to buy the graphic card

If you are looking for a graphics CARD then you must purchace one in a store and install it in the machine. or have them do it.

If you need the software to run a graphics card already in the machine, you should try contacting the vendor or manufacturer of the machine and find out what video card you have (so as not to void a warrenty if any) go to the manufacturer's website (for your video card) and download the driver update.
