I am forming an LLC in Georgia with a partner for the sole reason of buying investment properties. Do I need a business license of any kind?

We will not be selling anything or providing any kind of service to the public/clients. It is just to split our investments in the properties.

Not if it's not a "brick & mortar" biz. Meaning you work from home and don't have client traffic in and out.

You'll need to get a Tax Id #, so I'm assuming there's legal paperwork to file to operate as a business enterprise.

yes i just opened up one in sc you need a license for every location that is upen
