It's just the different directions that the grass has been cut. One shade of grass has been cut with the grass cutter going in one direction, and the other shade of green grass has been cut with the grass cutter traveling in the opposite direction.

no acutally the grass has benn cut that way to help the assistant refree's decide on offsides,
the lines help the asst refrees to call for offsides if the players try to sneak goals
