If you Look at England on Paper, they are pound to pound the best in the world, however if they dont play with heart & pride there is no point. Its ok the fans having pride and passion, it needs to go onto the pitch. They are boring to watch however they have quaility to succed however if they, come up against a team like N.Ireland, who play for passion, pride and heart they will fold like they did in Belfast

Forget about heart. They really don't have the ability.

The Aussies played their hearts out but lost out to the ref's interpretation of a penalty... ditto the Koreans... ditto the Swiss. The English character/approach is different business-like, cool, clinical which can be seen as indifferent or disinterested. I think "passion" is expressed differently - i believe the ENGLAND team is as passionate about their aspiration in the WC as any other team. They may not look like they're going for it with all their hearts but sometimes knowing what's good enough to get the result works.

If your talking about passion it might be a better idea to have a manager from our own country first. If you can't have a foreign player playing for a national side, why is it acceptable to have a foreign manager?!?!

Watch Sven's reactions on Saturday and compare them to someone like.. say Klinsmann's (Germany are doing great because he is German and his heart is in it). All Sven cares about is whether he will keep his job and massive pay packet.

Oh yeah, and that 4-1-4-1 crap is NOT working. We need two strikers or we may as well pack up and go home today!!!

It's not so much a matter of pride as it is that Sven plays boring football that involves defense and hanging onto slim leads, and has picked two injured strikers, one little boy and one useless tall bloke who got into the squad purely because of height! Would Peter Crouch have gone into the team if he was 5'11? No way!

I think Tony Hart would be a great addition to the team he's probably score a belter in the final after getting his head on the end of one of Morphs crosses. (i've heard that Morphs a bit tasty with a football)
