Any amount of exercise will help you to lose weight. It also depends on how vigorous you play. Are you really getting in to it? or is it leasurely play? Regardless the key is to balance your exercise with your food intake. Meaning to lose weight one must burn some of the calories one takes in. Now if you take in 4,000 calories a day... you have alot of burning to do. So it's all about balance.
And the best advice is to lose weight gradually. The safe amount to lose weekly is 1 - 2 pounds a week - no more. By doing quick lose you are damaging your body. Good Luck.
