Kinsey - I got this information from the Congress newsletter. This website will tell you who voted yes/no: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=179&chamber=S&congress=1092&tally=1

And I just read the end of your answer, and I was referring to THAT vote. I didn't ask about the other stuff. Is Santorum paying you to say this?

Scew Santorum.

Vote for Bob Casey!!!

You should email him.

I emailed him and got back some canned response that some dumb intern in his office obviously did not take the time to read. *sigh*

That's a poor question because Rick Santorum did vote yes on "Enzi Amdt. No. 4376; To promote job creation and small business preservation in the adjustment of the Federal minimum wage." According to his website, he states:

"Increasing the Minimum Wage
Senator Santorum has also supported responsibly increasing the minimum wage. Rick believes that it is time for the federal government to increase the minimum wage while also reducing some of the regulatory burdens that impact our small businesses which further impacts companies' ability to pay their employees more."

Rick voted against "Kennedy Amdt. No. 4322; To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to provide for an increase in the Federal minimum wage" which was a different vote then Enzi Amdt. No. 4376 which would have also raised the minimum wage to $6.25 as well as reducing taxes on small businesses and he voted yes on that.

The only minimum wage amendment he voted no on was the one to raise it to $7.25 without any stipulation for reducing the tax burden on small business.

Write to him and ask. His office will respond and tell you. Actually his website may have the reasons why on it. Don't ask me what his website is, honestly I'm not sure, but I don't think it would be difficult to find. Just go to the Senate's website and they proably have somewhere to guide you to each member's website. Glad to see someone pays attention to the votes and takes intrest in the person's reason.

Typical repuglicon logic. Poor people do not vote, or contribute to campaigns. Life for them are about struggle just remain afloat. It is ok for the Republican congress to get a $3000 pay raise. They are so wonderful. Just ask one of them.

If his statements were made from the floor of the Senate, then you can check the Congressional Register.
