I've become smarter, more open and a better person because of it.

When I finally fulfilled my dream of going to India it was life changing. The thrill of standing at the Indian ocean was indescribable. I wanted to dance. The experience was more than I hoped for. The people were wonderful. Warm and hospitable. The sights, sounds and smells were unforgettable. Even writing about it makes me want to return. I didn't know I could love another place as much as my home. My life changed when I experienced a new culture and embraced it.

Enormously...I have lived in Mexico, France and Spain besides the USA.
I have family/friends in the USA, Mexico, France, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Germany, England, Switzerland and Spain...
I have been lucky enough to visit almost all of them, at least once in my life...And many have come to visit where I live in southern Spain.
I f I hadn't been able to travel, among other things I would never have met my husband in Seville, Spain. nor started going out with him when we ran into each other several years later in Malaga! We married in France (where I lived at that time) and I have now lived here for nearly 34 years...
My two children have won scholarships and studied their careers in France, and ended up living there...so to see my grandchildren I again have to pack a suitcase and get in the car or fly up!
Travel has moulded my whole life!
The day I can no longer travel, I will probably shrivel up and wilt like a dead flower!

I went to the Smoky mountains in 1989 and fell in love with the calmness and beauty of the entire Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway. My Job is very stressful so a trip to the mountains each year helps restore my balance. I also revisit the smokies in my mind (envisioning the serenity) whenever a stressful situation at work pops up. My dream is to retire in the mountains someday soon in a little log cabin deep in the mountain.
