I need to send 10 photos to an office via email. Sending as word document is not possible but I do not know any other way. I know when I recieve emails from friends with photos attached, those photos are only about 50kB. Mine comes to 1MB per photo. I need to know what format to send the photos in. Or the procedure to follow so that the photos I send will be shrunk likewise.

Well if you want to send emails attached with photos then you can do it easily while sending or composing new email there type some messages for them and there in top.. you can see attach... click there and choose attach Files... and simply upload files and when they're done... send them... they'll recieve Files (photos)... just lilke you do from them

also there are various ways to decrease the size of file without decreasing the quality like you can zip the File and sent it... to do this... make one folder keep all photos inside that folder and right click that folder and choose send to and click compressed zip folder

also there's a software called Picasa 2 it's a photo editor very easy.. simple cool free and small tool very nice at reducing size... like you open 1 Mb picture... and do some save with picasa it'll be around 400 Kb and open 400 kb and save it.. it'll be again reduced... so you can these tricks.....

First Convert You Photos to JPG Formate or Trim the size as small as possible.
Then Email them.

You Need a Photo Software to help you.

Try Picasa, which is 100% free, easy to use. and you can email photos by Picasa.

A free software download from Google.
Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organised by date with folder names you will recognise. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organised.

Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures – you can email, print photos home, make gift CDs, and even post pictures on your own blog.

dont put the photos into a word file, since that alone increases their size. send each photo as a JPEG file (meaning, just save the file how ever you got it right into a folder on your computer). If the photos are big or high quality, make them smaller by opening them in Paint, and resizing them. if they are in a high quality format like PNG, make them into bmp or JPEG files.

Way #1:
Open your mail program, click on "attachment", select photo #1, click on "Send", repeat 9 more times. This sends the photos one at a time in their original size.

Way # 2: In some sort of photo editor (or "Paint", if that is all you have), resize the photos and save them as "Small_1" through "Small_10". Send the smaller copies. In "Paint", to reduce the photo by 75%, you have to shrink it 50% in width, then 50% in height.

Way #3: If they came on a CD, see if there is a folder labeled "Previews" or "Thumbnails". If so, send that version of the pictures.

Images attached in Word grow a lot in size. Try attaching the images directly in the e-mail instead.

Alternatively you might compress the images (with WinZip or WinRAR). You can also try compressing the Word document itself and sending it as compressed.

If the pics are .bmp, you should learn to convert them to .jpg
That alone makes therm much smaller file size.
I suggest you send 5 or less at a time with several sends.

use a photo editor software and save it as compressed .jpg , now the pics will be smaller, zip the whole file and try to attach it and it will go easily.
