Select "Tools" then "Internet Options".
• Open the "Content" tab.
• Click the "AutoComplete" button.
• Click the "Clear forms" button to delete all AutoComplete form data and/or click the "Clear Passwords" to delete restored passwords.

Try this
In Internet Explorer go to Tools / Internet Options

you can tick auto clear history in yahoo search but it only clears it after you exit the internet explorer

right click on your drive in my computer, then click disk clean up.
and from the explorer click on tools/ Internet options, then click clear cashe, and delete all history items.

You mean when you type the old text in the Search bar..
ok..then... type it again and just highlight it and Press Delelte Key...
