TV shows always say they have "never before seen photos, videos, evidence" etc, but how is that possible. The person taking the photo or video saw it, the producers of the video saw it, the network sees it before showing it to you. So it's not possible to show never before seen anything cause someone had to create it, and someone had to see it. They should say "first time on TV." right or wrong?

They'll eventually stop saying that as they realize how stupid it is. Just like they use to say "filmed before a live studio audience" and they realized they couldn't film before a dead studio audience so now they don't say that anymore.

Correct, but only partially. Language is a complex part of humanity. Its not only what you say, but how you say it, that completes the meaning of a sentence. Hence the line "Never before seen footage" actually means, Never before seen footage on a TV channel. The last three words here are implied. Ask any you know what they understand from "Never before seen footage". Even you understood what was being said. Rather implying the last three words is what makes the message more instant and surprising. Other wise it won't grap attention.

Well, when they are talking about never seen photos, video, or evidence I think they mean it's never been exposed to the world so yeah you're right.

You are correct sir. Yeah it should be never before seen on TV, but aren't you more likely to watch something that "noone" has seen.

Between the two, the former has more pulling power simply because people are busybodies. We're always curious.

The other is more correct but people get the idea with the former anyway so...

Doesn't really matter how they say it...the bottom line is there's a reason it's never been seen before or aired on television...because it sucks.
