because this is all just a joke and people are trying to get points, so they don't care, and they are trying to come up with the dumbest questions just to be funny.

I suspect that an awful lot of people haven't any intelligent questions to ask because they lack just that, intellegence.
There are many questions here that merit a serious answer and are posted by folks who have the smarts and a good knowledge of grammer.
However, the other side of the coin shows people who are ignorant, juvenile and honestly...you can tell summer is here because the place has kids asking stupid questions also.
Its creepy. This is a reflection of what happens to be in the work force or is up and coming (or should I say stagnating) in the schools of our nations.
I lost count keeping track of questions posted here countless times such as:
1. Am I pregnant? (which is usually followed by a story of either missed menstrual cycles, orgasams through underwear or some other bizzare method of supposed conception in science fiction format).
2. My (boyfriend/husband) beats me but I love him. What should I do?
3. Who is hotter? (add names of God-knows-who here).
and my all time favorite...
4. What do you think of my avatar?
So why ask serious questions when you astutely notice people acutaully answer these questions with a serious answer. I'm agog when someone says "I'm a 13 year old girl and I want to have sex with my 15 year old boyfriend. Is that okay?" The response of insane answers is amazing. People actually saying "Sure...you're both the right age" or some other absolutely stupid answer. Thanks. Thanks for giving a 13 year old a free pass to pregnancy or early introduction to sex. I better stop now and avoid discussing the moral aspect of it.
So you see. I agree with you. This is a sad statement of what is out there mingling around with the rest of the world. On the other hand, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and gas stations/car washes will never be in want for well-qualified mopes to hire as employees.

At times in my past, I remember feeling similar things. As time passed, I realized a few things that helped me:
1. Not everyone asks questions for the same reasons. Some have immediate problems they need solved. Others actually want to find out new things and expand their knowledge. But many people simply want to socialize -- hang around, chat, make conservation, goof off.
(Of course, you also get a few oddballs who like to make fun of people's questions just to feel good about themselves.)
Some of this is age (so it will get better). Some of this is actually temperament (so some people will never approach things as you do). I remember it taking me a long time to accept and appreciate people who didn't approach things as intellectually as I had wanted them to, understanding they were gifted in areas I was not.
2. Everyone is at a different stage in life, and that's okay. Some people here on the forums are young and at a stage where they find more value in the socializing than in the knowledge-questing. At least they're here. And as everyone gets older, their attitudes and behavior changes (hopefully) so they become more well-rounded and see the value in finding out new things, expanding their own viewpoints, or being curious about why others believe might believe differently.
So... don't go crazy. :)
Just take Yahoo Answers for what it's worth. Accept that many people might not seem to use it as well as it could be used. Skim past the stuff you don't like. Take advantage of the forum for yourself, both to learn and to share what you know with others so that everyone can benefit.

I don't know, more so importantly why do you let their questions stress you out so much, there are just some pretty stupid people out there obviously and yeah it saddens me out a little bit to but I sure don't stress over them any, I only stress about it when they are around me and cause me any harm, and you must understand, most people are at the intelligence level that they are always going to be at except for those working on making themselves less intelligent by drug use, it would be nice if there was something that could be done with a persons brain to make them smarter but it's just not going to happen, so when you see a stupid question you have a couple of choices to make, but don't let them stress you out. it's really not worth it

Most people place questions without checking first what has been answered hundreds of times already.
But anyway, you are free to concentrate on themes which are not full of nonsense questions.
