no you're son is what is called a realist and has incredible foresight. England are useless and Brazil are not. Brazil have the greatest record at the world cup and were favourites going into this cup. You're son is a true competitor and a born winner. support him in his pursuit for victory, although small it is a symbol for his will to win. i recommend you and everyone else in the house/family/friends crowd around him and not only wear and visibly support brazil but also cheer and support your son. be creative, use your words - make up positive chants about your son. god i'm bored.

Too many losers took you seriously.

I got one for you, I support England, half my family is over there. I live in California. I had a friend and his kids over for England/France Euro 2004. He's of Indian descent, born and raised in England. He's not a huge international fan or national supporter, but lives and dies with Arsenal's fortunes. His son, born in England, raised here, is shouting at what I consider odd times during the match and I ask him, "Who are you going for?" And he says, "France." I was shocked, appalled. His dad just smiled and shrugged. You and he are better people than I.

I blame the Arsenal support, the kid was a big Viera fan. The dad probably would have reacted differently if he shouted, "Come on you Spurs!"

I wouldn't care about Brazil, but I would think about it if they were supporting Argentina, France, or Germany.

Well, it is time to review what you may have done wrong in your son's upbringing. Where there early signs? Such as bed-wetting? LOL. England played horrible so far, maybe it is because your son brings bad luck to the team... or maybe - just maybe your son knows more about football and therefore denies supporting England. Maybe one day, if you are really lucky, he will become a Germany supporter ;-)

NO. No need! He is thinking globally. This world is one great village and modern communications has made it even more so! Nothing wrong with supporting Brazil. Its a very good team anyway.

I seriously think that you should teach him to support England, supporting a team because they are winners is not good, unless you are actually Brazilian.

Lol nah, i suppose he's just glory supporting! Kids like having fun and having it as soon as possible (why do you think they always cry at the supermarket? they're bored) so for now let him support the probable world cup winners! Although wouldn't it be sweet retribution if England won it? In his faaace! :D

Lots of people support Man U but don't live in Manchester, same thing really.
It is only a game, not a world war

Nah, you should keep him. If Brazil wins, you'll need someone in the family with connections with the winners.
