Looks good to me, but I guess it depends on the game, and the level of eye-candy. Crossfire ready... mmm.

I'd say it's okay. I had trouble running FEAR at maximum settings on my X1600 AGP version. That being said the PCIe version of the X1600 is superior to the AGP version but I cannot comment on the performance of the PCIe version.

If you are looking for a PCIe card then I suggest either the Geforce 7600GS or 7600GT. I don't like ATi's offerings in the mid-range cards as many benchmarks have shown that they don't hold a candle to what nVidia is offering. The case is different with the higher-end cards but differences even then are minor.

the x1600 is ok, i picked one up for a friend who is on a budget and its not as fast as my 2 year old x800xt. it actually performs around what a geforce 6600 would. other than that it worked pretty well, no complaints from him or me.
