There is no SR Peugeot 306. I think someone is pulling your leg. Peugeot grade the spec of there cars as XL, XN, XR, XSi, XT. This includes the Diesel models, on the diesel range however you add dt to the end of the spec levels, except the sports models, where they are called D Turbo, and D Turbo S.
The Latter model 306 was entry level L, then Meridian, then LX, GLX, and Finally XSi. Diesels were a new generation HDi engine shared with Citroen at the time.
Depending on year, you have been looking at a 306 D Turbo S which someone has added an R to the end. Better off telling the insurance companies the truth and say its S!
By the way, S stands for Sporting on the 306 range.

The second link gives you the full specification of 'D Turbo 3d SR'
SR could also mean 'Sun Roof'.

as a rule s.r stands for sports refined. sports seats, stiffer suspension alloy wheels and so on.
