i have read somewhere that she was size 14 but i can't find this fact anywhere. on wikipedia it says she was 5 5' and 118lbs which would not be a size 14.
does anyone know and have a reference for her size

Bust: 35-37 inches
Waist: 22-23 inches
Hips: 35-36 inches
Bra size: 36D
This would probably make her a size 12.

I think the site below will get you the info you need. I remember some years back realizing that the more expensive the clothes the smaller the size. I don't think there are any "true" sizes anymore. Example, I wear Walmart pants/short (when I'm not pregnant) size 10, but if I go to the Limited I can fit into a 6. The difference of course is not just 2 sizes but $60.00.
Overall, I can "justify" :) size all I want but really, if you compare Marilyn next to oh, Teri Hatcher, Marilyn definately has more curves. Personally, I think I like my body better with curves too...I hated being 13, why on earth would I want my body to look that age?

she was a size 14...sizes have changed dramatically in the past 40 years. When my mom was in highschool (late 60's) the smallest size was a 5. Size 14 was like a size 6 or 7 in today's sizes.

It is widely reported in articles that are trying to make us feel better about ourselves to look at Marilyn she was a size 14, but as most of the above have posted sizing has changed drastically in the last 50 years. She was actually probably in todays measurements like a 7, which is pretty tiny. However, with her hips I am assuming she had all of her clothes tailored to fit her, so she bought bigger sizes and had them tailored or she had all of her clothes custom made.
