I am happy to have met many people in my life
I am happy to be able to eat and not starve
I am happy to live in a first world country
I am happy to have been born
I am happy to have gifts as miracles
I am happy to have outlived many with Cystic Fibrosis
I am happy to know I can read and write and use my brain to work on whatever i want
I am happy to know I have a daughter whose reliable and responsible for herself and her family
I am happy to have a human who cares that I dont die and takes care of me
but I am not happy because I have a terminal illness since i was born, Cystic Fibrosis and knowing that I am going to die soon when I dont want to die at all and have absolutely no option on my death sentence EVEN WHEN I DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG I GOT A DEATH SENTENCE.
That brings me unhappiness.
For the rest I am happy Its just a lot harder to see the world very positive when one has a time bomb on one's life bc of an illness.

About some things in my life - yes. I'm going through a divorce and I'm laid off from work with not much chance of getting called back. We lost a major account so down sizing is necessary. But despite all that I can still say I'm happy. I'm healthy, I have friends and family that love me, and I woke up this morning-good reason to be happy. lol

I am happy for the most part, but it can be a struggle for me at times due to the fact that I battle depression every day of my life. I am happy though because I have a beautiful wife who loves me dearly, a great son who though he is in those teenage years, is still a good boy, and I have a job that I love to go to everyday.
I really have very little to be unhappy about, yet sometimes it is hard not to be. My life is good, my friends love me, and I am healthy. So yes, I am happy.

Yes, because i do what right and i do things i enjoy. I know how to make myself happy - not depending on anyone else to make my happy, but myself. I try lots of things, experiment, i don't let the negativities of the world bring me down at all, and keep searching until I find some thing else that ignites my passion.
I used to think it was other poeple I needed to make me happy, like a boyfriend or going out with friends. Well that make work for people until you go into depression when your boyfriend dumps you and your friends move away. you are the only person you can rely on, you are the only one whom you will deal with every single day of your life, and you are the only one who can make yourself happy.

I'm happy. Yes. Happyiness does not necessarily have to do with everything being perfect. One can be happy because he has dreams to fulfill still. Because there is a challenge. I'd be unhappy if something happened to beloved ones. I'd be unhappy, if someone fell very ill. If a situation is unsolvable. I know many hard situations.. Being happy means to see the small good things. To enjoy nature. To enjoy company of family and friends. To find love, to fall in love and to be safe with the one you love. Happyness means not to have the best possible.. i have to learn myself first ;) yes. But to see life as a challenge and not to be sad if something changes. Nice words, hard reality sometimes though.. i know. Make the best you can out of the situation you stick in and accept it can mean happyness. I don't know. Modesty might be the key to it :-)

Yes, it's all about perspective. You can be happy or really depressed, all in the same situation. It has to do with the way you chose to look at life and your situation. You can always find good things tto be happy about, or you can chose to have hope instead of dispair. Really, your happiness is a choice. Life is good, just look.

Happiness is a choice............and honestly I am happy because I choose to be so. Whine and bellyache and you will become negative. Think positively and you will be happy. It's all a state of mind.
