When you download it, you get 3 options - RUN, SAVE and CANCEL. Select SAVE to begin with and save it to a location on your hard drive.
Once you do that, close your current messenger completely. I don't just mean log out, I mean right click the messenger icon next to the clock and exit messenger. Also close any internet explorer windows that may be open.
Once closed, go to the location you saved the installer and run it.
It should install ok this time.
If it doesn't, then I suggest going to Microsoft Update and get the latest updates for your PC. Then try again. You won't need to download it again as you already have it.
This is all dependant on which version of windows you are running of course. Please state and I may be able to give more precise instructions.

Maybe your pc is too old for the latest version. Contact MSN about it. Find out the system requirements.

What msg does it give you? How about tricking it, download the stuff to a flash disk, then extract it (install it) in the PC

ive had the same problem sorry.. itll never work it appears to be a consistenly permament problem that eligedly formed in your computer due to unknow reasons.. youre prolly gonna have to learn to live with it like i do, sorry OR ELSE you can turn to a computer tech supporter or somethin' like that they know all the stuff
