i do not agree with that decision. because Aussi player was down and he doesn’t commit any tackle while he is down. Only Italy player just ran over him and fell down. What to do its past.

The call was a hard one to make. I'm Italian, and I'm not quite sure what I would've called. I do admit, it was more of a fall than a tackle. So on that, I would not have given the penalty...but...what the hell was the defender doing. He gave Grosso that chance on a silver platter. Aussies don't blame the ref, blame your defender for his inablilty to tackle correctly. He slid in and was beaten by a great move. Grosso took his chance, and the penalty was given.
Something I've seen Kewell do a thousand times in the Premiership.

I watched the game. Its unfortunate that the defender was guilty of the offence. Its the best decision, we could even hear from the commentator.

it was NOT a right decision from the referee, but giving Italy a red card was NOT so right as well! so I think this compensated for that and everything is ok for me :D

its a hard call... but either u have to let it go which was fair enough to me because the diffender was just sliding to the ball and the italian player acted like he go hit, dont forget they get trained really well to fail themself to get a panelty kick or to get someone a card.
