I've emptied all the other folders and the only folder which I'm having trouble emptying is the 'pre-set tunea' i.e. nokia tone is there any way of deleting those sort of things from your phone memory?

Yes I'm sure I've moved all my pics/videos etc on to my hard drive. It said i've got 1852kb on my phone memory left after i'd moved them.

Rather than purge your phone of data that might be essential, consider replacing the far from generous nokia memory card with a larger one (256, 512MB, or 1GB). You can get cheaper and equally good as nokia cards such as integra, kingston (best buy), or sandisk.

are you sure all your pics/music,etc is stored on the hard drive,not in the phone memory?i had the same problem because all the files went to phone memory.i've sorted mine out and even with all my files,i've still got about 3.8 gig left

if it takes a mini-sd card, get the biggest you can and move all the non-essential files, stills, etc onto that....
