It's not so much that they think we are idiots, it's more a case of they are in control and there is nothing we can do about it. Pity we can't stop their wages isnt it, if it was one of the public doing the things they do you would be out on your a** so quick!

Is there a specific issue you want to raise?
We can "stop their wages" it is called democracy ... if the majority vote for someone else then the current government are out. Once you have exercised your right to vote you have to leave them to get on with it until the next election.

The general public are idiots. They continue to believe the politicians they elect are looking out for them and continually vote professional politicians back into office time after time. Don't believe it..... how many times has Ted Kennedy been reelected? And this is only one of the jerks who stymies this country into constant debt with his give aways. Kennedy and other jerks should have been voted out years ago but don't rely on the genener public to vote him out.... they're idiots.

Politics corrupts regardless of whether those in office are elected or appointed. They tend to try to "take care of" their constituency, and often appear to be treating them like children. People get used to this lack of responsibility and re-elect these people, and those who appoint the remainder. It becomes a cycle of dependancy. People elect those that will give them the most and take care of things for them, so the politicians treat them even more like children.

Do you mind with their salary/wage ?
Who determined their salary ? was it them ?
If it was, then your country is in big-big trouble, because your country's asset and gold would be their cashcow.
it's like they are the robber who rob money from rich - weak people.

No, it's because in a large part we don't vote, and when they get to Washington they pretty much do what they please. Money flows freely up their and that is where all the power is!
