Most masculine names end with an "o" or feminine names end is "a" (Latin or Romance languages). Dana can be used for either. Hope you get some good responses, because that's about all I can come up with now.

That is hard, I am guessing it has something to do with the masculine and feminine forms of words in spanish language. What you are doing is opposite to the norm so it might be a struggle.
