What should I wear to a Civil War themed costume party?

2 questions... how much time before the party? and do you know how to sew? civil war theme is VERY had to do. the 3 major patten company's have great patterns for this if you have time you can sew a dress... if not see if some one can sew you a dress. if you can't find some to sew for you you will have to go rent a dress from the costume shop. I would go with cotton material if summer. Are you going to be a re-enactor because to go to the trouble of doing all of this. Being a re-enactor is fun, you meet some of the friendliest people (and you run in to some REAL sticklers for authenticity)

u can go for something white.
well its just my guess u will look very good in white.
and above all white will be an attractive colour for a civil war theemed party
a skirt little bit long will also look good in white and a white top on it will make u a nurse
