As an Englishman who has travelled back and forth across the USA many times, San Francisco stands out as the BEST. It is a small city, with a relatively small population, it has a wonderful transportation system, there are cultural and touristy sites to see, it is cosmopolitan, it is open, and the weather is temperate.

New Orleans - pre huricane Katrina.
I was blown away by the diversity of that city.
Followed closely by Honolulu and Las Vegas.
Honolulu for it's beauty and Vegas for it's fun factor.

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It has the great smokey mountains. It is gorgeous and very peaceful and has alot of things to do and see for travelers and tourists.

Definitely Boston.. Just Like NYC.. Only much nicer.. Lots of things to see.. Nice hotels.. Great places to eat.. (Cheers).. Whale watches.. Fenway Park.. Boston is awesome..

Logan, Utah. If you have ever been to Cache Valley you would know why. Great snow, nice summers, Mountain views, Hot springs... If you love nature and friendly people, your home.
