I think I understand where you are going there. My timid answer is 'yes'. You may be sympathetic to the Jewish cause, but know that Israel (back then there was no Israel) is a pawn in the American military that causes more strife than it's supposedly worth.
Just know that Israel is located VERY strategically in the middle east, ok. While we, as modern day Americans, think that Palestinians and Jews should just get along, there are big religious problems there. We're Americans, we understand that. Both sides deserve to occupy land they consider to be holy and to live in peace with each other. The issue is, they consider the same land to be holy for different reasons. That is why America is there. Americans revere Jerusalem as Jews do. So, we pretend that we support them when in actuality we are there to police the middle east.

Just Will, I don't wish to contradict you but as far as I know Israel is a democracy and they get a chance to vote more often than you or I because of the constitution of their parliaments. If most of them disagree with the policy of their governments, surely they would have taken the opportunity by now to send a clear message. Words are one thing, action another.

To get back to the question, why be pro-jewish? They are just another race, like any other. The Country of Israel was an entity conceived by the UK and the USA, and as you can see through history where there has been intervention by those two countries, chaos ensues. A lot of people do not know that Iraq and Afghanistan had British influence and control. Need I say more.

Pro Israeli is pro Jewish. Its the only country that welcomes Jews no matter where they are being persecuted. If it would have existed in the ww2 times, maybe there would have been no holocaust. You may not agree with some of their government policies, however its another issue and not anti Israeli as a whole.

i think i'm able to provide a sparkling answer in this: Criticising Israel isn't anti Jewish/anti semitic Disliking a number of Israel's regulations isn't anti Jewish/anti semitic desiring great things for Palestinians isn't anti Jewish/anti semitic yet criticising Israel in isolation, and out of context, is bloody unfair. Claiming that Israel has no 'properly' to also be there is garbage. Believing that the Jews only rocked up in 1948 and demanded a state is stupid. Ignoring the very undeniable actuality that Jews lived in Palestine for hundreds of years is bigoted. Ignoring the way the Arab international rejected partition, at the same time as Jews agreed, is bigoted. And to call the Israelis 'nazis' as some do IS anti Jewish, anti semitic, and a unwell component to do. It amazes me that such assorted those who've by no skill set foot in Israel are yet so optimistic of their reviews and condemnation of Israel. In Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon, the Palestinians are trapped in the most negative camps - will I examine your positioned up expressing difficulty about that? i wish so :) EDIT TO HOMECHRCH - what a astounding and precise answer. i wish you get voted 'perfect reaction' because you extremely do deserve it :) remark TO REDISCA As ever, superbly positioned :) Your factor about asking if someone will be 'professional Palestinian yet anti Palestine' is astounding. completely logical.

All Israeli(or at least 98% of them) are Jews.So u can't be pro Jew and anti Israel.U could say u don't like the Israeli government...And one of the reason Israelis came to Palestine was the Holocaust so they too suffered...And trust me I don't like Israelis much either...

No I don't think so. If someone tells me he likes Canadians but doesn't like Canada, I wouldn't buy it. There's no reason why I should apply a different standard to Israel. On the other hand there are over a million Arab Israelis, so being anti-Israel is also anit-1000000+ Arabs.

Yes, you absolutely can be pro-Jewish but anti-zionist. Zionism, the core founding principle of the nation of Israel, is not necessarily a Jewish belief. There are many Christian, Ba'hai, and even Muslim Zionist groups who fully believe in a manifest destiny of exclusive control of Jerusalem and the surrounding area.

Many outspoken Jewish anti-zionism groups are on the web, and, having myself visited Israel, I can tell you that MOST jews I lived with and spoke to do not believe in the segregation of indiginous peoples that were there before them. They get antsy when it comes to them being neighbors next door, but they also don't agree with the hawks that are in power.

Jews feel like one community in the diaspora but not in Israel! But Israel is the place where all the jews are suposed to live. It is a country because of the holocaust when jews made aliahs in this time. this is the promised land!

Israel didn't "suffer" in the holocaust because it did not exist during holocaust! Israel came into existence in 1948.
