So, at what temperature are the Celsius and Farenheit scales the same? -The answer, of course, is -40.
To most people, a temperature like that, is just an abstract number--not something that one would ever actually expect to experience. In Interior Alaska, it is just another fact of living here

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit put F=180C/100+32
for F=C:
F=180F/100+32
F-180F/100=32
-80F/100=32
F= -3200/80
F= -40

-40 degrees Fahrenheit = -40 degres Celsius
If C = (F-32) / 1.8, and C = F then
F = (F-32) / 1.8
1.8F = F - 32
1.8 = 1 - (32 / F)
32 / F = 1 - 1.8 = -0.8
F = 32 / -0.8
F = -40
