I have also been in the situation that you are in. 95% of Egyptians are what they tell you but there are some that are not. I took a trip to Egypt for the love of my life and to make a long story short I was used for my money, some of my things were stolen and much to say we spent a very long 22 hours in the airport in Germany with no money because they spent ours. Then after I returned he said he had been in an accident and had all his friends back him up on the story and wanted me to send him money to pay the doctor and thanks to a good friend I found out he was lieing for the money.To find out everything I had been told was a lie and he was looking for nothing more than a visa to the USA. I don't regret my trip there I have made many good friends there and I fell in love with Egypt. I have many many friends in Egypt and if you can get me a name I will find out what I can. One of my friends is like a brother to me and I would trust him with my life.Let me know if there is anything I can do.

well you love your self hold on to that ,i can tell you many horror stories of Egyptians and what they have done to European and American women,how they have swindled them out of money and some have lost all that they had at home because of so called love i rank them as no one con artests and that's what they do best remember you are just a number to this man and I'm sure he has plenty of women friends who he tell the same sob story to.I'm European living and married to an Egyptian in Egypt and have seen many many things in my 14 years here .good luck

i can't help you much since i just left egypt. i was living there for over 10 years. all i can say, that 90% of the love stories between egyptian and europeans/americans are one sided love and one sided love to have a visa.
jany, you are the perfect example of lots of women i know!!!
long story short: it's more likely, that he lie to you in any case right now and not worth the effort to find it out unless you have plenty of $$$ to throw away! in case you would marry him, he gets the visa and that's all he want. plus you marry all his family and have to feed that whole breed!
