Supposing vampires are real of course. (If you don't think they're real, please use your imagination, thank you). :)

Nowadays, they trick you with an internet link. Clicking the link extends an ethereal invitation. Kind of like adwares that sneak in and suck the life out of your computer, web vampires sneak in and suck out your life force (kind of like surfing is doing to you now LOL.)

Beware, there's bound to be some vampires lurking here on Yahoo Answers.

Now, how do I upload garlic....???

I dont think an invitation matters. Real vampires are etheric (non-physical) beings. This invitation idea grew out of the old tradition of setting a place for a deceased family member. If the family member had somehow prevented Final Death, he/she might come back to the people he/she knows to feed on their life-force. They are really rare these days. There used to be some in Egypt because the ancient traditions kept the body as a place the vampire could slumber and families made regular food offerings to their dearly departed which provided the vampire with a source of etheric energy. Believe it or not, garlic works well in keeping them at bay. Garlic and onions contain some oil or something that prevents etheric attack. Vampire lore existed in most cultures on Earth, but not in Italy. Growing plants and running water are several other things that can prevent their passage into your house.

Well, that is true, to an extent. A real vampire, the kind that sucks your blood, you do have to invite them in. But if you have an astral vampire, the kind that feeds off your life force, they can do that from miles away or right from the next room. That's why I'm not having children.

Well yes, but if you live in a hotel/motel or somewhere that people are allowed in then it's different, but living in your own home, you have to invite them in, but if they're good vampires and you invite them. but then they turn bad then you can do a spell to uninvite them and when you do the univite you can keep some of them invited :) However if you have a sign outside, for example "enter all who seek knowledge" whatever language it's in, then vampires can get in.
Except Dracula wafted his way in, but he's a weird vampire that can come back from dust anyway, so unless he told other vamps his secrets then I reckon you're safe from everyone but him :)

Well one of them came into my house uninvited and pinched my TV. The police aren't convinced that it was a vampire and neither do my insurance company but I can't think of any other plausible explanation.

If they can't do anything in the safety of your own home what happens when you are outside? Do they have to tap you on the shoulder and politely ask if they can drain the last bit of life out of you

Your buddy isn't a vampire. How might desire to she pass to college without being burned up by employing the sunlight? heavily, in case you think of that being diminished, or chilly, or rapid are indicators of vampirism, how can she stand the image voltaic? Why might she be in college & why in the international might she be in gymnasium classification? possibly your buddy has an eating disease, possibly she purely has strange eating conduct or a metabolic difficulty. it quite is a threat to sniff blood, and it does scent like rust & salt. it quite is a threat for some human beings to experience whilst others are observing them, that isn't so uncommon.

Apparently this is true. They don't have to look like vampires at the time. Be careful who you invite into your home.
Even checking their identity could prove a problem if they have nicked some of Dr. Whos psychic paper.

It's true that they can not enter your home unless you invite them in, I don't know about doing anything outside your house though. Once you invite th vampire in, they can then enter whenever they want and you can never uninvite them.

Depends what version of the Vampire myth you are referring to. If it's Bram Stoker (or Buffy the Vampire Slayer...lol) then yes, they need to be invited in to your home.

Once they're invited in once, that's it.

Vampires can not come in your home unless you invite them in. You are fair game if you are outside your home. When you are outside your home unless you are in a Church Vampires can get you. Wear garlic.
