Really, hearing this for the first time in spite of having traveled reasonably well within India and abroad!!

This could be the impression among foreigners, having seen in India that Indians are giving due place to prayers (thanking god for everything) as a part of their daily routine. Inspite of a lot of material things or stuff around, in India we remember to thank God, or that hidden power, for rewarding our efforts and mustering courage in ourselves to perform better always for the time to come.

This is a routine for us and we find nothing unusual in it.

I am indian born, but i didn't even know.
I think it's called the land of prayer, because of rivers and too many religious people.

I have one theory though. India belongs to the greatest number of mosques(Kind of like a church except it's for muslims) in any other country, even though Islam isn't the number one religion there. So perhaps that is why...?
